dudes are emotionally unavailable because all they wanna do is bang.
emotions are vulnerable or seen as weakness and lots of men are not in the habit of lowering their defenses.

I want to make new friends(real friends), but I'm finding it more difficult as time passes (It's like people don't want anymore after they already have their standard clique). You can say it's slightly selfish because I want to interact and be interacted with more. But, we are a social creature, after all.

I can only make casual acquaintances in this town for some reason, I can't seem to cross that genuine friends threshold.
It's because everyone wants to make friends by drinking and going to football games and buying into the "cu" culture. I gaurantee that if you show people you're different they won't shy away. It'll be a relief for them too, so be yourself.
